We are Committed to a Safe Work Environment

We are Committed to a Safe Work Environment

We have more than 3,000 people working at Factor across four sites who help us deliver on our mission to serve our customers. When it comes to our teams, nothing is more important than the safety of our employees and instilling a positive work culture within our facilities. All employees start their time working for us with safety training. We cultivate a culture where safety is not just a requirement, but a shared responsibility for all who work and visit our facilities. We do daily safety audits in our sites and provide safety tips for frontline managers to share with employees, ensuring safety is top of mind for everyone working in the building.
We Listen to Our Employees

We Listen to Our Employees

Employees are encouraged to voice their comments, questions and concerns to our team. We value open two-way dialogue in our buildings and welcome direct feedback. Employees have many ways to share their thoughts, including speaking to their manager or speaking to our onsite human resources or safety teams. We also regularly conduct employee surveys as often as every four months, hold onsite focus groups,  roundtables, start-of-shift standups and All Hands meetings where we encourage discussion at the site level. Finally, we have a 24/7 hotline available for anyone to share a concern anonymously.

We Set High Expectations for Our Suppliers and Hold Them Accountable

We Set High Expectations for Our Suppliers and Hold Them Accountable

To manage variation in customer demand, Factor works with third-party partners who help supplement our workforce. Starting as a temporary employee is one way to step into a regular, full-time role at Factor. Over the past 12 months, more than 1,400 people transitioned from temporary workers to Factor employees.

We expect all of the staffing partners to comply with all applicable laws and our Ethical Trading Policy. This Ethical Trading Policy defines labor practices that Factor deems unacceptable, both within the company and in its supply chains. The Ethical Trading Policy prohibits forced or bonded labor (including any form of modern slavery or human trafficking), child labor, discrimination, harassment, harsh or inhumane treatment. It also requires suppliers to provide respect for worker rights, a safe and hygienic workplace, and timely payment of wages.  In addition, Factor conducts supplier audits in order to verify that its suppliers are complying with these labor standards. Factor may utilize independent third parties to conduct audits when circumstances require.
